Notes From a Glacier

I'm just back from vacation in Argentina, and have lots to say about Buenos Aires and its restaurants and food, but I first want to share a story from a glacier. My friend Iliana and I went to Calafate, in Argentine Patagonia, to trek on the Perito Moreno Glacier. It was a full-day trek, up a mountain to the back of the glacier, then another 4-5 hours trekking on the ice.
