Try These Cooking Techniques to Eliminate Food Waste in Your Kitchen

As of the beginning of this month, all restaurants, food stores with prepared foods, and other foodservice operations in Austin, Texas, are required to compost food scraps and leftovers, per the city’s Universal Recycling Ordinance. Austin joins San Francisco, Seattle and New York City in requiring restaurants to donate unconsumed food, and compost scraps or send them to farms.
