Avocado Gets a Serious Upgrade

I'm used to seeing avocado toast all over Instagram and brunch menus, and for the record, I love that stuff. But while at brunch yesterday at Palm Spring's Workshop Kitchen + Bar, the avocado game was seriously upped. Chef/Owner Michael Beckman offers half an avocado that is filled with goat cheese, baked and perhaps brûléed a bit, then gilded with a drizzle of honey and a scattering of almond pieces...
