In Philadelphia, Mediterranean-inspired Leo is taking over the Volvér space at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts; Chris Cryer serves as chef. 

In New York City, The Knickerbocker added a sushi and cocktail spot, Akoya, within St. Cloud Rooftop. Madras Dosa Co. expanded to Rockefeller Center for its flagship location. Thai spot Fish Cheeks expands to Williamsburg May 13. Bar Meridian closes this week, making way for an unnamed oyster bar from Nick Perkins, Leah Campbell, and Nialls Fallon (all Hart’s).

In Washington, D.C., Ana Sofía Pino took over dessert duty as pastry chef at Lutèce. Carlos Delgado (Causa) became the culinary director of La Vie. Scotland’s Fish Shop marks its U.S. debut at the Wharf this week. 2016 Plate Chef to Watch Jon Sybert closes Tail Up Goat at the end of summer. 

 

In Boston, Willow & Ivy bloomed inside The Lenox in Back Bay with a New England-inspired menu from Daniel Kenney. Independent Collection Hotels & Resorts appointed Tatiana Rosana as its first regional director of culinary. Island Creek Oysters is opening a seasonal raw bar in the seaport this summer. 

In Providence, NicoBella’s is no more. 

In Connecticut, Kyle Timpson begins as chef at Hell’s Kitchen at Foxwoods Resort Casino this week. 

In Richmond, Nami transformed its upstairs space into an intimate omakase den. Jessica Wilson plans a new restaurant, Grace, for the Odyssey Fish space.

In Monaco, Cédric Grolet was named executive pastry chef at the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo
