I was a little thrown by a Twitter conversation I saw food writer Michael Ruhlman posted last week, amid all the last-chance pre-election ranting going on virtually everywhere. He recounted that in the last presidential election, he got a decent amount of flack about posting his support for President Obama. In his blog, Ruhlman writes:
