New Orleans-style BBQ shrimp and burrata toast

Sourdough bread, slices, grilled

In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, heat oil. Add garlic and sauté until garlic just softens, then add shrimp. Sauté shrimp for about 1 1/2 minutes, then add BBQ base and simmer for about 4 minutes, until shrimp are almost fully cooked.

Add butter, a little at a time, stirring to help it melt. Once butter melts, lower heat and taste for seasoning. Add salt and pepper as needed.

Meanwhile, slather grilled slice of sourdough with 3/4 ounce butter and 2 ounces burrata and place in broiler until warm and burrata gets bubbly and golden.

Remove shrimp mixture from heat and immediately serve atop warm burrata toast.
