Though a visit to Cuba today may not yield the most innovative cocktails, for a stretch in the 20th century, it was the place to go for Americans seeking a tipple. Americans headed to Cuba during Prohibition, and that era of drinking has left an enduring mark on the American cocktail scene through drinks like the daiquiri, Hotel Nacional, El Presidente and other rum drinks.
