Q1 Consulting and Insights Practice is Now Foodservice IP
New Name Reflects Firm’s Core Focus on the Foodservice Industry
Chicago, July 26, 2019 - Nearly five years into the firm’s existence, Foodservice IP will take on branding separate from its parent company, Q1 Productions. Based in downtown Chicago, Foodservice IP delivers research, insights and management consulting services to food manufacturers, operators and food retailers.
Foodservice IP (formerly Q1 Consulting) was originally developed as a growth vehicle for global conference and education leader Q1 Productions LLC. The head of the firm said that the company had been planning this name change along with other major strategy improvements, including a focus on thought leadership and differentiation through highly experienced consultants, a foodservice industry-only focus and unmatched client deliverables.
“Our clients told us that our name was not necessarily reflective of the industry we serve – so we took a bit of our own advice as consultants and changed it,” said Tim Powell, Managing Principal of Foodservice IP. “We want our clients and the market to know we will continue to deliver the ‘why?’ behind the research that will lead to sustainable, competitive strategies.”
“There is a large gap in customer service, quality and price in the foodservice research and consulting space and we believe this is the optimal time to make a move for the leadership position,” Powell added.
Foodservice IP consultants are equipped to offer custom business solutions and insights on a wide array of areas in foodservice including primary field work, brand positioning, opportunity assessment, strategy consulting, data interpretation and corporate strategy solutions.
Most importantly for media companies, FSIP consultants are available for expert sourcing regarding restaurants, non-commercial foodservice, foodservice manufacturing, broadline distribution, GPOs, trends, economics and more. FSIP has been quoted in USA Today, National Restaurant News, Advertising Age, Convenience Store News and CNBC.
