Each week a new course is added in order to stimulate students and motivate them to learn more, including detailed step by step downloadable recipes and chef’s tips & tricks adapted to the seasons. Forty practical chocolate techniques videos are also available for free, from day one worldwide. If they are not familiar with certain techniques used by the chefs, students can click on interactive elements in the videos to dive deeper into specific techniques or recipes. Once they feel they understand and master the techniques, they can pick up their lesson again where they left off. There is something for everyone, from novice to expert. This way, the CHOCOLATE ACADEMYTM Online delivers a personalized learning experience for every student.

Russ Thayer (CAO Lead Chef): Technology allows us to bring chocolatiers and their staff to professional levels of skill and technique through an online learning experience - just like our existing brick and mortar CHOCOLATE ACADEMYTM centers do.

The CHOCOLATE ACADEMYTM Online is based on a freemium model, explains Andrea Doucet Donida, CAO General Manager, with some parts freely accessible to all chocolate enthusiasts, like interviews with chefs and the pure technique videos. Chocolatiers who want a personal training path can sign up for the USD$129 per year subscription (or USD$14,99 per month). Subscribers can create a personal profile, access all interactive video courses and downloadable recipes, manage their e-shop list and join the online chef community. E-learning will be accessible to US, EU, Canada and other selected regions starting now and will roll-out to other countries later in 2019. The online community forms an integral part of the CHOCOLATE ACADEMYTM Online membership experience. As participants’ progress through the different skill levels of CAO, they can check in with fellow chocolate students to ask questions, exchange challenges and achievements, upload pictures of their creations and receive feedback from other chefs.
